Terms of Service

The plain rules for building and running your store on Souqi. Written to be read, not just filed.

Last updated: July 2026

Agreement to these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Souqi for using our platform, website and services. By creating an account or using Souqi, you accept them. If you use Souqi for a business, you accept them on that business's behalf. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data.

Who can use Souqi

  • You are at least 18 years old and can enter a binding agreement.
  • You give accurate account details and keep them up to date.
  • You use Souqi for a genuine business and comply with the laws of your country.

Your account

You are responsible for your account and everything done through it. Keep your password private, and tell us at info@souqii.io if you think someone else has access. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

Beta access

Souqi is in beta. Access is granted by invite code or after review. Features may change as we improve the platform, and early merchants keep a founding rate when paid plans launch. We may add, change or remove features during this period.

Running your store

Souqi gives you the tools to build and run a store. What you sell is your business, and you are responsible for it, including:

  • Your products, prices, descriptions and images, and that you have the right to sell and show them.
  • Fulfilling orders, delivery, returns and customer service for your buyers.
  • Any taxes, licences and legal requirements that apply to your business.
  • Honest claims. Do not promise what a product cannot do.

Buyers and orders

When a buyer places an order, the sale is an agreement between the buyer and you, the merchant. Souqi provides the storefront, the checkout and the in-platform messaging that connects you, but Souqi is not the seller and is not a party to that sale. You are responsible for honouring the orders your store accepts.

Payments and fees

During the beta, Souqi is free to use and early merchants keep a founding rate. Cash on delivery is fully supported, and card and instalment options are rolling out through trusted payment providers. When paid plans launch we will show the pricing clearly before any charge, and card payments are handled by a third-party processor under its own terms.

Your content and the licence you give us

Your products, your store content and your customer relationships belong to you. To run your store, you give Souqi a licence to host, display, adapt and process that content, for example to show it on your storefront, translate it and build your bilingual pages. This licence lasts only as long as needed to provide the service, and ends when you delete the content or close your account.

AI-generated content

Souqi uses AI to draft store names, descriptions, marketing and product imagery. The content generated for your store is yours to use. You are responsible for reviewing it before you publish, since AI can make mistakes. You must have the rights to any photo you upload for enhancement. Souqi never sets your prices; pricing is always your decision.

Acceptable use

To keep Souqi safe for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Sell illegal, counterfeit, stolen or unsafe goods, or anything prohibited where your buyers are.
  • Defraud buyers, misrepresent products, or use the platform for money laundering.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
  • Send spam, upload malware, scrape the platform, or try to break, overload or reverse engineer it.
  • Harass or harm buyers, or misuse the in-platform messaging.

Souqi's intellectual property

The Souqi platform, software, design system and brand are owned by Souqi. We give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use them to run your store while your account is active. You may not copy, resell or build a competing service from them.

Suspension and closing an account

We may pause or close a store that breaks these terms or puts buyers at risk, and we will tell you why when we can. You may close your account at any time. Before you close it, export anything you want to keep, since your store content may be removed afterwards.

Service provided as is

During the beta, Souqi is provided as is and as available. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. Souqi is not responsible for the conduct of buyers or merchants, or for the quality of the products sold on stores.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Souqi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost sales arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country.

Your responsibility to us

You agree to cover Souqi against claims that arise from the products you sell, how you run your store, or your breach of these terms. This is fair because you, not Souqi, control what your store sells.

Changes to these terms

As Souqi grows, we may update these terms. When we make a meaningful change we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, let you know. Continuing to use Souqi after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, where Souqi operates, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have in your own country. If a dispute arises, contact us first at info@souqii.io and we will try to resolve it in good faith.
