Privacy Policy

How Souqi handles your data, plainly. What we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you keep.

Last updated: July 2026

Overview

This policy explains what data Souqi collects, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It covers merchants who build a store, buyers who shop from a store, and visitors to our site. We keep it in plain language, and we will keep it current as the platform grows.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run your store and the platform:

  • Merchant account: your name, email, phone, country and what you sell.
  • Store content: the products, text and images you create or upload.
  • Buyer and order data: the name, contact and delivery details a buyer gives to place an order, and their order history.
  • Messages: the conversations between buyers and merchants that happen inside the platform.
  • Automatic data: anonymous storefront visit counts, device type, and an approximate country from your network, used to help merchants understand their traffic and to keep the service secure.

How we use your information

  • To run your store, process orders, and keep buyer and merchant messaging inside the platform.
  • To build your bilingual content and imagery with AI, at your request.
  • To show merchants their own store analytics and help them sell better.
  • To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
  • To contact you about your account and important service updates.

AI processing

We use AI services to generate store content and product imagery. Only the text and images needed to build your store are sent for generation, and never customer payment details. These providers process the data on our behalf to return a result, under agreements that limit how they may use it.

How we share data

We do not sell your data. We share it only in these ways:

  • With service providers who run parts of the platform for us, such as hosting, AI generation, email and payment processing.
  • Between a buyer and the merchant they order from, so the order can be fulfilled.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of people on the platform.
  • If Souqi is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, hold your cart and remember your language. We count storefront visits anonymously. We do not run third-party advertising trackers by default. If you arrive at a store from that store's own ad link, we remember which channel in a first-party cookie so the merchant can measure their own ads. We do not follow you across other websites.

Buyer data and merchants

When you buy from a store, the merchant of that store receives the order and delivery details they need to serve you, and can message you inside the platform about your order. Each merchant is responsible for how they handle their buyers' information. Your account with one store is not shared with another.

Your content is yours

Your products, your store content and your customer relationships belong to you. You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time by emailing info@souqii.io.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active, and for as long as we need it to provide the service, keep records, and meet legal obligations. When you close your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymise your data, except where the law requires us to keep some of it.

How we protect it

We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and other safeguards. No system is ever perfectly secure, so we also work to detect and respond to problems quickly. If a breach ever affects you, we will act and inform you as required.

Your rights

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Export your data or ask us to delete it.
  • Object to certain uses, where the law gives you that right.

Children

Souqi is for adults running or shopping from a business. It is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Processing across borders

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. When they do, we rely on providers that offer appropriate protection for your data.

Changes to this policy

As the platform grows, we may update this policy. When we make a meaningful change we will update the date at the top, and let you know where it matters.
